High Temperature Incinerator
The only High Temperature Incinerator in the UK with the facility to
process industrial waste packaged in drums/IBC’s and on pallets. At temperature of 1,100C we can
guarantee complete destruction of hazardous waste resulting in inert residues with typical volume
reductions of 80%.
Our shredder and hoist give us the capability of disposing of
practically every type of industrial waste packaging. Licensed to dispose of all types of hazardous and non-hazardous waste
as defined by the Hazardous Waste Regulations 2005, there are four main routes into our High
Temperature Incineration kiln:
-
Liquid and gas injection Pumpable liquids e.g. solvents / oils / aqueous wastes, in drums or in
bulk. Industrial gases in lecture bottles to Iso-tanks, including refrigerants.
-
Shredder Packaged material including pharmaceutical waste / paint sludges
pesticides / aerosols / contaminated wood.
-
Hoist Drummed solid contaminated materials e.g. absorbents / carbon and more
reactive materials e.g. laboratory chemicals / clinical waste / lithium batteries /
peroxides.
-
Bulk solids Processed materials such as centrifuge or filter press cakes / tank bottoms.
Acceptable in skips / tippers / tankers.
Licensed to dispose of all types of hazardous and non-hazardous waste
as defined by the Hazardous Waste Regulations 2005. The Site also has an RSA93 licence for
accumulation and disposal of low-level radioactive wastes.
Waste types suitable:
Pharmaceuticals, Pesticides, Solvents/Oils, Laboratory chemicals, Paints, Sludges, Contaminated wood, Meat and bone meal, Oxidising agents/peroxides, Lithium batteries, Refrigerants, Controlled drugs, LLW

Fawley Thermal Treatment Centre
At our 11 acre top-tier COMAH (Control of Major Accident Hazards) site in
Fawley, Hampshire, we incinerate up to 105,000 tonnes of pharmaceutical, chemical, agricultural and
industrial waste every year, reducing its volume by up to 85% with a resultant reduction in
landfill requirements.
Our waste incineration activities are licensed to Pollution Prevention and
Control (PPC) standards with 2 Environmental Permits that are regulated by the Environment
Agency.
Our High Temperature Incinerator processes waste in excess of 1,100ºC.
We also return 34,000 megawatt hours of electricity to the national grid every
year from our separate waste to energy plant.
