Physio-chemical Treatment

Tradebe can process up to 750,000 tonnes of industrial liquid and sludge waste a year, between our major physio-chem treatment sites. The waste material is fully treated using neutralisation, metal precipitation, redox treatment and oil removal before blending and finally filter-pressing to achieve a balanced effluent suitable for discharge and a filter cake suitable for either recycling or disposal.

Waste types suitable:

  •    Inorganic and organic acid
  •    Alkali
  •    Oil/water mixtures and emulsions
  •    Pharmaceutical waste
  •    Heavy metal contaminated waste
  •    Spray booth and paint waste
  •    Interceptor waste
  •    Food processing waste

The facility comprises a transfer station and physico chemical treatment plant. With its location less than a minute from the motorway at Ellesmere Port (Cheshire), transport costs and carbon footprints are minimized. The plant has an annual treatment capacity of  250,000 Tonnes of hazardous waste.

The facilities (treatment plant and transfer station) comply with relevant regulations and apply recognised BAT (Best Available Techniques) standards. We treat inorganic bulk and packaged waste on site whilst offering a transfer station service for wastes, suitable for treatment elsewhere in the Tradebe group.

The Cheshire treatment plant specialises in physico chemical processes such as: neutralisation of acid and alkalis, reduction of chromic acid and metals precipitation, sludge flocculation processes and filtration. Tradebe also offer from this facility, total waste managements services, site assessments, waste segregation, lab packing, oil-water phase separation, leachate disposal and fly-tipping response.
