Solvent Blending

The Recycle Centre at Dinnington was designed for the blending and recovery of solvent based wastes. Our 1500 tonne capacity tank farm is fully nitrogen blanketed and the site is operated as an ATEX facility to allow the safe handling of low flash materials.

Solvents are blended to produce a high Calorific Value material with an agreed specification for use as a support or secondary liquid fuel for use in industry.

Waste types suitable:

  • Non-halogenated solvents
  • Halogenated Solvents
  • Solvent based compounds

Dinnington Waste Management Centre

This facility is located near to Sheffield in Yorkshire and is especially designed for recovery, recycling and reuse of organic wastes.

The processes operated on site include; - storage, mixing and blending with optional solvent recovery, flammable waste blending (for liquid, solid, sludge or paste wastes), hydrocarbon consolidation  and recovery of oil from oil sludge using centrifugation.

The thermal desorption facility will begin operations in September 2009, and will further expand the organic waste treatment services offered by Tradebe. These services are in line with the UK waste strategy. The process meets the  BAT (best available technique) requirement for the treatment and recovery of hazardous waste. This new technology completes the portfolio of more traditional organic technologies available at DRC (Dinnington Recycling Centre)
