Transfer Stations

Tradebe are a UK wide organisation with a network of strategically located, permitted transfer stations. This allows us to accept waste for treatment at any of our sites in the most convenient location for our customers.

For waste streams we are unable to process in-house, the wide range of waste types acceptable through our transfer stations enables us to offer a fully integrated service to our customers. Disposal routes employed by our transfer stations are procured from waste management partners offering the best available solutions, encompassing all the technologies currently available in the UK and Europe. This facility is located near to Sheffield in Yorkshire and is especially designed for recovery, recycling and reuse of organic wastes.

The processes operated on site include; - storage, mixing and blending with optional solvent recovery, flammable waste blending (for liquid, solid, sludge or paste wastes), hydrocarbon consolidation  and recovery of oil from oil sludge using centrifugation.

The thermal desorption facility will begin operations in September 2009, and will further expand the organic waste treatment services offered by Tradebe. These services are in line with the UK waste strategy. The process meets the  BAT (best available technique) requirement for the treatment and recovery of hazardous waste. This new technology completes the portfolio of more traditional organic technologies available at DRC (Dinnington Recycling Centre)
