Muscle Strains can happen to anyone. They occur in the course of normal activities of the day or as a result of sudden use of a muscle with activity. Why do they happen, how can we treat them, and can we prevent them?
All workplace incidents - including not just accidents but also near misses, close calls - must be reported, documented, and investigated at Tradebe – our belief is this is a necessity and should be a requirement of all safety programs – no matter the company or industry.
How can you be sure your message is getting across? Communicating occupational safety and health information effectively is crucial to preventing employee injuries and illnesses.
Remember the four keys to success. Effective safety communication is:
Interactive: It flows both ways. You speak about safety and you listen to employees’ concerns and suggestions.
Informative: It tells employees what they need to know to work safely under all conditions...
As a members of the ESGR (European Solvent Recycler Group) we are proud to share the “Carbon Footprint of Recycled Solvents at the sectoral level compared with virgin solvents” study in which we have participated. This comparative report illustates the annual CO2-footprint of organic solvents recycled in Europe by ESRG members in relation to the CO2-footprint of virgin solvents. A Life Cycle Assessment following the ISO 14044 methodology was used as a tool to estimate the CO2- footprint of both types. The findings suggest that recycling 309 kt of used solvents each year can save 618 kt CO2 eq. per year. This is equivalent to annually avoiding the Greenhouse Gas emissions of 280,000 diesel cars.
