Finding, growing and keeping talent is the greatest competitive differentiator for Tradebe. On January 26, 2021, the Tradebe Learning Academy launched our first ever Emerging Leaders program. The Emerging Leaders program is a talent cultivating initiative to establish a pipeline for future leaders.
The Emerging Leaders participated in four virtual workshops on topics related to leadership, communication, collaboration, coaching, feedback and business acumen. Key to the program was the Capstone Project. The group was divided into 5 sub-groups and assigned a Mentor, and each group worked together to identify opportunities within Tradebe to impact revenue, cost and/or the service experience (internally/externally). On June 23, we came together for the Capstone Project presentations. Each group told their story, delivered their business case and demonstrated impact to Jeff Beswick, Tradebe US CEO and the Executive Committee. Also joining virtually were the immediate people-leaders of the Emerging Leaders, the Mentors and HR Business Partners. Here is a quote from one of the Emerging Leaders after the presentations:
“This was something very special to be a part of. Every presentation was executive-level quality and worthy of implementing as you can see how each project will deliver tangible, long-lasting results. I was truly grateful to be nominated with a group of exceptional colleagues.”
While the formal portion of the Emerging Leaders program may have ended, the real journey continues. The groups will action their proposals through follow-up and follow-through.
A program like this was made possible through the amazing support of the entire Tradebe community, as well as some key partners such as @ParadigmLearning and @DXLearningSolutions. As the African proverb says, “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”
