Tradebe acquires Vopak Terquimsa terminal in the Port of Barcelona

• The transaction includes a key infrastructure with 210,155 m³ of operational capacity, located in one of the main logistics hubs of the Mediterranean.
• The agreement strengthens Tradebe’s positioning in the port logistics sector and drives its strategic growth.

Barcelona, 8 September 2025 – Tradebe and Vopak Terquimsa have finalized the sale and purchase of a strategic terminal located in the Port of Barcelona, in an operation that consolidates both companies’ commitment to optimizing their business lines and fostering sustainable growth.

The terminal included in the transaction comprises 43 tanks, access to 4 berths, rail connection, and a total capacity of 210,155 m³, employing 22 professionals. The final closing of the operation took place on Friday, 5 September.

“This agreement represents a strategic step both for our company and for the development of the port business in the region. The integration of this terminal not only expands our network of assets but also reinforces our capacity to deliver comprehensive logistics solutions in key markets such as chemicals and industry,” said Oscar Creixell, CEO of Tradebe Port Services.

For his part, Eduardo Sañudo, Managing Director of Vopak Terquimsa, highlighted: “The sale of the Barcelona terminal marks another step in our strategy of rationalization and growth. We remain fully committed to our expansion in Tarragona, where we are driving an ambitious enlargement project that will allow us to strengthen our presence in the region in key sectors such as chemicals and the energy transition.”

This agreement forms part of Tradebe’s growth strategy and responds to its objective of strengthening its presence in key ports along the European logistics corridor. In line with this, it adds to other relevant projects within the same business line, such as the capacity expansion at the Hamburg Port terminal announced earlier this year.

This transaction is part of Vopak Terquimsa’s optimization plan, aimed at improving its financial performance and strategic positioning, while reaffirming its commitment to operational efficiency, sustainability, and the development of the logistics and industrial ecosystem in Tarragona.
