Sharpak Healthcare and Tradebe Environmental Services Healthcare announce landmark partnership to deliver next-generation reusable sharps container service
Sharpak Healthcare Limited and Tradebe Environmental Services Healthcare have signed a long-term commercial agreement for the deployment of the NOLOSS automated sanitisation system at Tradebe’s Wrexham facility, marking a significant milestone for both businesses and for the future of clinical waste management across England, Wales, and Scotland.
The partnership will enable Tradebe Healthcare to offer its NHS ICB and acute hospital Trust customers across all three nations a fully integrated reusable sharps container service, built on Sharpak Zero bins and validated NOLOSS processing technology. Customers will benefit from a clinically validated, end-to-end reusable solution that eliminates single-use sharps container waste, delivers an independently verified 87% carbon saving versus virgin plastic single-use alternatives, and reduces the overall cost of sharps waste management — with no change to clinical workflows.
Henry Powell, Commercial Director of Sharpak Healthcare Limited, said: “This partnership is a landmark moment for Sharpak Healthcare. It extends our coverage across mainland UK and ensures that the proven environmental and cost benefits of Sharpak Zero are now accessible to NHS organisations and healthcare providers the length and breadth of the country. We are proud to be working with a partner of Tradebe’s scale and reputation to make that a reality.”
James Cardwell Moore, Commercial Director, Tradebe Environmental Services Healthcare said: “This partnership represents a significant step forward in how we support healthcare providers in delivering safer, more sustainable waste management solutions. By deploying Sharpak’s NOLOSS technology at our Wrexham facility, we are enhancing our ability to offer a truly integrated reusable sharps container service across England, Wales and Scotland.
For our NHS and healthcare customers, this means access to a proven solution that reduces environmental impact, improves efficiency, and maintains the highest standards of safety and compliance, all without disrupting established clinical practices.
At Tradebe Healthcare, we are committed to driving innovation that supports the NHS’s sustainability and cost efficiency goals, and we are proud to be partnering with Sharpak Healthcare to lead this important transition away from single use systems.”
